Acupuncture for Long Covid.

Dr Tianjun Wang • October 31, 2020

In the last couple of months I have seen many cases with above symptoms and most of them are good response for the treatments, either acupuncture or combination with Chinese herbal medicine.

Post-viral fatigue syndrome, and long term covid syndrome are the two syndromes among long term effects of covid-19, according to the review published by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)(1,2). They are affecting the respiratory system, the brain, cardiovascular system and heart, the kidneys, the gut, the liver, and the skin. The commonly seen symptoms of long covid include, but not least, fatigue, short of breath, poor memory, less concentration, insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress, palpitations, frequency urination, general aching, joints pain, et al.
Acupuncture, partly of Chinese medicine, has a long history and rich experiences to dealing with these health problems. In the last couple of months I have seen many cases with above symptoms and most of them are good response for the treatments, either acupuncture or combination with Chinese herbal medicine.
In terms of the techniques, scalp acupuncture are mostly unique for brain related symptoms, such as fatigue, poor memory, less concentration, insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress, etc. (3)

Four days, from Friday to Monday, with Monday being the Queen's Birthday holiday. The trainees are mainly from all over Australia, with a small number from Malaysia and Singapore. It is conceivable that they have overcome many difficulties and spent time and money to study. Some of the intended applicants gave up because the epidemic has not yet completely ended. As a lecturer, I can only do my best to impart what I know, clinical perception, experience, etc. to the students without reservation, and guide the students in location, needling, techniques, etc. The on-site demonstration, consultation, and treatment are as detailed, comprehensive, and practical as possible. All the students persisted until the end of the course at 5:00 pm on the last day, and none of them left early. Even at the last minute, they were reluctant to give up, applauded and thanked, and said that they were looking forward to seeing me again in soon future. A participant feedback me today, "We really want to thank you for teaching us scalp acupuncture and your experience. I have learned a lot from you. When I come back to Singapore, I have used your method to treat some depression. stroke and pain patients, the effect is really extraordinary. The effect is really improved. I will do more research and study in this area, and I will notify you first if there is any new discovery.”This is a subtitle for your new post
