What Can Acupuncture Do For You?
Depression is a common mental disorder that presents patients with depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or poor appetite, low energy, and poor concentration, among others. These problems can become chronic or recurrent and lead to substantial impairments in your ability to take care of everyday responsibilities. At its worst, depression can lead to suicide - a tragic fatality associated with the loss of about 850,000 lives every year.

The Effective Alternative

Acupuncture can be a very effective alternative to treat depression, anxiety, stress-induced fatigue and mood swings, resulting in long-term benefits. Since the early eighties, studies around the globe have suggested that treating depression with acupuncture has a positive and holistic effect on depressed patients. Acupuncture treating depression has the benefits included to improve the efficacy, quick onset and reduce the side-effects.
Dr. Tianjun Wang has started his PhD research of Acupuncture for Depression from 2015. He has published many relevant research papers, as a sample, on Acupuncture in Medicine in 2014 (*).

Registered Anxiety Therapist by Anxiety UK

Anxiety is one of the most common mental conditions.
When not properly treated, anxiety can be aggravated to become a more serious and complicated disease. Anxiety ranks in the top ten causes of disability worldwide and is the most prevalent psychiatric condition in the European Union (EU) with over 60 million people being affected by this condition. Anxiety disorders are a group of conditions such as panic disorder, social anxiety disorders, separation anxiety disorders, phobias, selective mutism, anxiety induced by substance use, anxiety associated with a medical condition, and generalised anxiety disorder.

Effective Treatment For Anxiety

There are increasing clinical studies indicating acupuncture as an effective treatment for anxiety without adverse effects. Amorim and colleagues (2018) summarised that ‘there is good scientific evidence encouraging acupuncture therapy to treat anxiety disorders as it yields effective outcomes, with fewer side effects than conventional treatment.’ Another systematic review ‘Effects of Acupuncture on Anxiety in Infertile Women’ concluded that ‘According to the results of this systematic review, acupuncture is an effective technique in controlling the anxiety of infertile women.'
